Ja s’han iniciat les obres del carrer Ausiàs March en el tram comprès entre el passeig Josep Maria de Sagarra i el vial d’accés al barri de Fontpineda. Es tracta d’un projecte que pretén millorar la seguretat de vehicles i vianants que circulen per aquesta carretera que uneix el barri amb el nucli urbà i la Magina. Amb la voluntat de minimitzar les molèsties que les obres puguin ocasionar als veïns i veïnes de la zona, es preveu que durant la primera fase dels treballs no hi hagi cap tall de la circulació.
La segona fase de les obres, prevista a partir del dia 30 de maig, suposarà una tallada parcial del trànsit que també obligarà a modificar el recorregut del bus urbà. Es permetrà la circulació només de pujada, mentre que la baixada s’haurà de fer per itineraris alternatius com la carretera de la Palma o de Corbera. A partir del 19 de juny es posarà en marxa la tercera fase del projecte, durant la qual es prohibirà la circulació de vehicles en tots dos sentits; el motiu és que es preveu dur a terme l’ampliació de la calçada i l’asfaltat de la via, uns treballs que faran necessària la utilització de maquinària de gran envergadura. Les obres tindran una durada aproximada de quatre mesos.
